The one I read more recently is Saints and Strangers by Angela Carter. Four Elements is a collection of poetry and short fiction by four women of horror who are all Bram Stoker Award winning poets. Interestingly enough, some of the others on BookCrossing who shared this same book with me found that they had had enough of his style after reading only a few of the stories. Nothing here is necessarily predictable, even considering the theme, but it is all imaginative and entertaining.
